ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ President Strom C. Thacker rejected a ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Council recommendation calling for an academic boycott of all Israeli academic institutions.

April 11, 2024 — On April 11, 2024, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ President Strom C. Thacker rejected a ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Council recommendation calling for an academic boycott of all Israeli academic institutions. President Thacker views the recommendation as antithetical to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s commitment to academic freedom, to the creation of a safe and productive learning environment for all, and to the College’s core value of intercultural understanding.
