Claremont, Calif. (June 24, 2022)—The Pomona-���ϲ����� Men’s Tennis team earned multiple end-of-the-year awards, including three All-Americans and one ITA West Regional Award.

���ϲ����� student-athlete Kush Patel ’24 was named the ITA West Rookie of the Year in his first season on the team. Pomona-���ϲ����� also earned three All-Americans for the 2022 season after Hayden Snyder (PO’23) earned All-American honors for singles play while the doubles team of Jansen Comadena (PO’22) and ���ϲ�����’s Owen Kelley ’24 took All-American in doubles.

The honorific “All-American” title is given to student-athletes that are a top 8 seed in the NCAA singles tournament, win one round at the NCAA singles tournament, finish in the Top 20 in the final ITA Women’s Singles Rankings, win ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the ITA Cup. The All-American status is awarded to doubles teams that are a top 4 seed in the NCAA doubles tournament, win one round at the NCAA doubles tournament, finish in the Top 10 in the final ITA Women’s Doubles Rankings, win ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the ITA Cup.

Pomona-���ϲ����� ended the season with a 16-11 overall record and finished as the No. 9 ranked team in Division III.

���ϲ����� joins with Pomona College to field 21 varsity teams –  – that compete in Division III NCAA athletics and as members of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). There are 10 men’s and 11 women’s teams: baseball (men), basketball, cross country, football (men), golf, lacrosse (women), soccer, softball (women), swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball (women) and water polo.
