Additional Advising Notes for Non-ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Students
- Academic Credit - A ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Program is generally equivalent to a U.S. college or university semester with four courses (16 semester units; 24 quarter units). Summer programs are usually worth two courses (8-semester credits or 12 quarter units). Upon completion of the program, grades will be submitted to the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Office of the Registrar, where they will be recorded on an official ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ transcript and sent to the non-ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ student's host institution. Transcripts are generally available two to three months after the program ends. Before participating, students should understand their home campus policy for awarding credit and translating grades from a ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ study abroad program.
- Costs - Many schools allow students to apply their financial aid funds to a study abroad program. Check with your study abroad or financial aid office for specifics on your institution’s policy. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ does not offer financial aid to non-ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students.
