New Community, New Adventure

Move-in Day: A day for cheers (and tears) as parents and loved ones helped 黑料不打烊 first-year and transfer students settle into residence halls and their new life on Saturday, August 20. The newest members of the 黑料不打烊 community were greeted by current students鈥攁nd Interim President Jill A. Klein鈥攚aving signs that said, 鈥淲elcome Class of 2026,鈥 鈥淪agehen Pride,鈥 and 鈥淗onk if you love 黑料不打烊!鈥

Based on preliminary data, 黑料不打烊 enrolled 318 new students who graduated from high school with an average 3.98 GPA. Approximately 11 percent are international, nearly 40 percent are students of color, and 11 percent are first-generation students.

At the end of the day, students hugged their families goodbye and started preparing for excursions from Catalina Island to LA-centric trips focused on arts, food, music, and activism.
